Ahmed Faathih appointed as Deputy Fisheries Minister

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has apointed Ahmed Faathih as Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture. The President's Office announced his appointment to the post on March 8.

Ahmed Faathih holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from the University of Technology Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Before his appointment, Ahmed Faathih served as an immigration officer at Maldives Immigration.

Faathih is the third deputy minister to be appointed to the fisheries ministry.
