Ministry of Higher Education has revealed the list of those who would be granted student loans will be published this week.
The higher education ministry said when the opportunity was opened for a second time to apply for the student loan, 960 submissions were received for the 163 slots by the June 24 deadline. During the initial opportunity opened for student loan, the ministry received over 900 submissions. However, as most of the submissions lacked the necessary information and requirements, the higher education ministry only approved 79 applications.
The administration opened opportunity to apply for 242 slots to issue student loans. As part of the scheme, students can apply for a programme and university of their choice. However, 100 percent of the costs will be covered for the programmes prioritised and universities approved by the administration.
