Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage Yumna Maumoon has stated the efforts to protect the culture and heritage of Maldives can only be achieved with the cooperation from the public.
Speaking on PSM News, Heritage Minister Yumna noted the efforts initiated by the administration to protect and preserve the culture and heritage. In this regard, she expressed cooperation from the public is crucial to achieve the goals.
Minister Yumna said what is most important is to create awareness among the public and for the public to believe protecting and preserving the heritage is highly needed. Noting the heritage must be preserved to forward it to the future generations, the minister said heritage, culture and traditions are the biggest assets of the country.
Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage has established an official list consisting of 462 heritage sites in Maldives.
