A private local company, Maldives Island Reality Private Limited has signed with U.S. based music corporation, Atlantic Records to develop an integrated resort. The agreements were signed at the ceremony held at Salt Restaurant by Managing Director of Maldives Island Realty Private Limited, Mohamed Shaafee and Vice President of Atlantic Records Brian St. John.
A restaurant, underwater rooms, a Maldivian record label and other luxury facilities will be developed as part of the integrated resort project, according to the Managing Director of Maldives Island Realty.
Shaafee revealed that practical work of the project will commence within six months and added that the project will boost the promotion of Maldives as a tourist destination. He also stated that the establishment of a world class recording studio in Maldives will serve to enhance the music industry of the country.
