Dhiraagu commits to guesthouse growth and sustainability

Telecommunication Service Provider, Dhiraagu has committed to guesthouse growth and sustainability at the Guesthouses Maldives Conference 2017.

In his keynote at the Dhiraagu Guesthouses Conference, CEO and Managing Director of Dhiraagu Ibrahim Rasheed expressed commitment to guesthouse growth and sustainability. The Managing Director focused on contributions made by Dhiraagu towards the growth of the sector.

Ibrahim Rasheed highlighted how Dhiraagu's Fibre To The Home (FTTH) project had transformed fixed broadband in the islands and how the project was directly borne out of providing guesthouses with better and improved connectivity.

The idea at the conference was that improved digital connectivity would contribute to increased arrivals and better services in the industry. Another major theme at the Guesthouses Conference was how crucial the wellbeing of the oceans and reef systems is for tourism sustainability. Dhiraagu plays a major role in the growth and sustainability of the Guest house sector in the country.

The one day Guesthouses Maldives Conference was held at Paradise Island Resort, with business to business meetings, educational sessions, networking events and a host of interactive evening functions organised by Maldives Getaways.
