President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with Nepal as the country marked its Constitution Day on 19 September.
In separate congratulatory letters to Nepal’s President Ramachandra Paudel and Prime Minister Balendra Shah, President Muizzu extended warm felicitations and highlighted the longstanding bonds of friendship between the Maldives and Nepal.
He said the relationship between the two countries is founded on mutual respect, shared aspirations for peace and stability, and strong people-to-people connections.
President Muizzu expressed confidence that the close and enduring ties between the Maldives and Nepal would continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
He also expressed hope for deeper engagement in areas of mutual interest, both bilaterally and through regional and multilateral forums, for the mutual development and benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
The President concluded his messages by conveying wishes for the good health and well-being of both Nepali leaders, as well as continued peace, unity and prosperity for Nepal.
