Ambassador of Argentina pays courtesy call on Foreign Minister

The newly appointed Ambassador of Argentina to the Republic of Maldives Maria Cristina Ueltschi has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim.

The Minister and Ambassador discussed bilateral relations between the Maldives and Argentina, and ways of further strengthening the existing ties. The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries and guaranteed Argentina's cooperation in the international arena.

The ambassador also presented her letter of Credence to President Yameen Thursday morning at the President's Office. She is the non-resident Ambassador and is based in New Delhi. The Maldives and Argentina established diplomatic relations on the 14th of May 1987.
