The 20th Hotel Asia Exhibition has officially opened at the Maldives International Exhibition Centre, drawing 260 exhibitors from 45 countries and welcoming tourism officials, resort operators, chefs and industry professionals for three days of networking and product showcases.
After officially inaugurating the exhibition, Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen toured the stalls, praising the strong presence of foreign suppliers, hotel operators and sector experts.
“This is something being done within a very established market. New doors are opening for tourism through this exhibition, and new products and initiatives are being launched,” the Minister said, emphasising the show’s pivotal role in advancing the nation’s tourism industry.
Running daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm through 30 September, the exhibition features around 200 local and international companies representing hospitality, resort supply and culinary sectors. Exhibitors highlighted the event as an ideal venue for sourcing modern, high‑quality resources, forging industry connections and unveiling new offerings.
Since its inception in 2008, the Hotel Asia Exhibition has become one of the Maldives’ most successful annual trade fairs, and this year’s edition underscores the country’s continued commitment to attracting global investment and innovation in tourism.
