President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday appointed three members to the Civil Service Commission.
At a ceremony held at the President's Office, Dr Hussain Faaiz, Mohamed Nasih, and Dr Dheeba Moosa were formally appointed as members of the Commission.
Prior to their appointment, the three members took the oath of office before Supreme Court Justice Ali Rasheed Hussain. Following the oath-taking, the President presented them with their official letters of appointment.
Their appointments were cleared by the Parliament late last month.
Each member of the Civil Service Commission serves a five-year term. Prior to the new appointments taking effect, the commission consisted of President Mohamed Nasih, Vice President Mohamed Mujthaz, and members Mohamed Farshath, Fathimath Shareef, and Fathimath Habeeba.
The tenures of President Mohamed Nasih and members Mohamed Farshath and Fathimath Shareef concluded on 3 September, marking the end of their five-year terms.
Nasih will begin a fresh five-year tenure in the CSC following the appointment.
