MMRI conducts workshop on using larvae for coral reef restoration

Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI) has conducted a training programme on using coral larvae for coral reef restoration.

The programme was conducted in Omadhoo, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll for a duration of 13 days. Participants of the programme include staff of MMRI, environmental organisations and residents of Omadhoo.

During the programme, participants were taught the theory and practice of using coral larvae to restore reefs. The programme was taught by experts from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
