Maldives Police Service (MPS) has encouraged the public to download its mobile phone application to access online police services.
MPS requested individuals to download the official police mobile phone application and access online services provided by MPS with ease and simplicity. It stated that the application is designed to ease access to policing services anywhere and contact the neighbourhood police officer or an island police station.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih launched the mobile phone application on the 89th anniversary of the police service in the Maldives. Users can download the mobile phone application on iOS and Android platforms, and register to receive detailed information on their yearly vehicle fee status, and information regarding traffic or parking violations. Users can also submit complaints to MPS and receive details on the investigation through the application, and submit complaints or give praise to services provided by MPS. They can also apply for criminal records or police clearance certificates.
MPS aims to use the application to keep records of interactions with the police service and provide users with information on their neighbourhood police officers and nearest police stations.
