Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has donated items to state care facilities as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, State Minister Fazna said the items donated by MPL would be of great use, as the items are in shortage at some of the state care facilities. The state minister added most of the items would be used at the special needs home in Guraidhoo, Kaafu Atoll and the temporary care facility in Villimale’.
Meanwhile, MPL CEO Shahid Ali acknowledged that the operation of state care facilities is a challenging task undertaken by the government. He said MPL will continue to assist such facilities in any way it can.
The gender ministry operates several state care facilities across the country. Most of the facilities are used to accommodate children under state care.
