14 law enforcement officers complete VBSS basic and instructor courses

14 law enforcement officers across Maldives Police Service (MPS), Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Maldives Customs Service have completed the Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) basic and instructor courses.

The course completion was marked during a special ceremony held at the MNDF Headquarters on February 24. During the ceremony, the officers who completed the courses received their certificates from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Instructor Paul Robert.

VBSS basic and instructor courses aim to train maritime law enforcement agencies on coordinating with each other in combating crime. The courses are conducted across a duration of two weeks.
