ACC membership nominations sent for parliamentary review

The President’s Office has forwarded the nominations for the vacant membership positions of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to the Parliament of the Maldives for review.

The President’s Office stated the names of individuals who applied for the ACC membership positions have been sent for parliamentary review. The President’s Office stated the names of the nominees will be disclosed by the parliament.

Application for ACC membership was opened following the resignation of all five members of the commission, amid the dismissal motion launched against them at the parliament. The dismissal motion had been launched by the parliament citing their failure to complete the investigation of cases submitted to the commission.
