Maldivian Aviation Academy (MAA) has announced course fees for its pilot training programmes.
The newly-established national aviation academy will be conducting integrated and modular programmes for pilot training. The integrated programme, which lasts 18-24 months, costs USD 58,000. Meanwhile, the self-paced modular programme costs USD 59,600.
MAA, inaugurated on December 28, 2021, is a collaboration between Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), Maldives National University (MNU), and the Czech Republic-based Flying Academy. The academy is operated under a joint venture between IASL and MNU and is based in Gan International Airport in Addu City.
MAA began classes with 35 students in its first batch. The first batch includes student pilots of the Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA) that was previously operated in Gan, who have had to discontinue their training for a variety of reasons.
