Maldives Bureau of Statistics (MBS) is seeking 4,400 enumerators to conduct the population census scheduled for this year.
MBS issued an announcement seeking enumerators for the population census, which is scheduled for September. MBS said the application window for enumerators and trainers will expire at the end of May.
The national body for statistics revealed one-week training programmes will be conducted for enumerators before conducting the census. The programmes will be conducted during July and August in the islands, and during August and September in Male’.
MBS said enumerators will receive a special allowance for the duration of the training and the census. MBS said the allowances will be given after the census is completed.
The population census is a count of all individuals and household units across the country. During the census, data will be collected on the income and living conditions of the public. The last census in the Maldives was conducted in 2014.
