Election of the Disability Council postponed to February 24

The election of members to the Disability Council of the Maldives has been postponed to February 24.

The election of the Disability Council was initially scheduled to be held on February 19. However, the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services announced the election has been rescheduled to February 24.

During the election, members will be elected to the Disability Council among parents and guardians of individuals with disabilities. The list of eligible voters has been published by the gender ministry on February 8, and opened for complaints until February 10. The list is available on the Government Gazette and the website of the gender ministry.
