HPA Requests COVID-19 positive persons to submit information

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has requested individuals found positive for COVID-19 and those who came in contact with them to provide their personal information via email.

HPA made the request following difficulties in their work to call individuals who are positive for COVID-19 and conduct contract-tracing tests, due to the increase in cases. The health agency requested individuals who are positive for COVID-19 to provide their information as well as information on their contacts immediately via email. As such, it advised individuals to check the result of their test samples via the COVID Safe portal and to immediately submit the necessary information if they are found positive.

Individuals found positive for COVID-19 are required to provide their name, identification card number, passport number, phone number, and address via email. They are also required to disclose details of any long-term medication they are taking and provide a detailed list of their recent contacts. HPA also advises positive individuals to seek help from health professionals if they show signs of illness.

Health authorities have begun strengthening measures following the rise in COVID-19 cases across the Maldives.
