School children, senior citizens and disable persons to receive free bus services

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced school children, senior citizens and disabled persons can use the bus services for free, starting from January 1, 2022.

MTCC currently offers free ferry services for school children, senior citizens and disabled persons. The company said the same policy will be applied for bus services in the atolls, starting from January 1, 2022.

MTCC currently operates bus services in the Greater Male’ Region and Addu City. MTCC said it is currently seeking additional buses to commence services in Fuvahmulah and Laamu Atoll.

MTCC said the company aims to establish a convenient and reliable public transport service to all citizens.
