The Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Ambassador Masud Bin Momen has departed Maldives after concluding his official visit to the Maldives. Foreign Secretary Momen was on a two-day official visit on the invitation of Foreign Secretary of Maldives, Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, to hold the first Bilateral Consultations between Maldives and Bangladesh.
During the visit, the Foreign Secretaries held official consultations to review ongoing and discuss new areas of bilateral cooperation between both countries.
Foreign Secretary Ambassador Masud Bin Momen also called on Vice President Faisal Naseem, Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel.
This is Foreign Secretary Momen’s first visit to the Maldives, since assuming his office on 31 December 2019. Foreign Secretary Momen and delegation were seen off at Velana International Airport (VIA) by Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, Chief of Protocol Aishath Shaan Shakir and Joint Secretary Fathimath Ghina.
