Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has penalized Family Court Judge Abdulla Adeeb.
JSC stated it took action against Judge Adeeb after an investigation into a complaint filed at the commission. The investigation found that Judge Adeeb had been negligent in his duties to give a verdict on a court case.
In accordance with the Judicial Service Commission Act, JSC has given a warning to Judge Adeeb and mandated him to complete a training programme specified by the commission.
JSC has investigated judges over complaints filed at the commission and taken various actions, which include giving warnings, suspensions, and recommendations to dismiss judges.
