Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has returned to the Maldives after concluding his trip to the UK to take part in the COP26 Summit in Scotland.
Speaker Nasheed departed to the UK on October 29, ahead of the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Scotland. During various meetings and conferences held at the sidelines of the summit, the speaker advocated for more meaningful global action against climate change.
Upon return, the speaker is set to move to the new official residence established for the Speaker of Parliament at Muraidhooge’ in Male’.
