BML announces a scholarship fund

Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched a Scholarship Fund as the first of a series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate leading up to its 40th anniversary in November 2022.

BML revealed the Scholarship Fund launched will provide fully-funded international scholarships for three students in the area of banking and finance. BML added the fund, aimed at developing talented young Maldivians in the field, will be an annual fund and will be open to all.

CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer said BML will be carrying out a major initiative each month as a way of supporting and appreciating our customers, communities, and colleagues adding the Scholarship Fund is the first initiative to mark 40 years.

BML noted the application process and eligibility criteria for the Scholarship Fund will be published on its website at a later date.
