Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has warned action will be taken against individuals that breach the contracts signed for the lease of land in Thilafushi.
Thilafushi is the main industrial island in the Greater Male’ Region. The island is host to a wide range of industrial and commercial activities, with land leased to several different organisations and businesses to conduct their operations as per the lease agreements.
HDC stated the agreements signed for lease of land in Thilafushi include what the land can be used for and what is prohibited. HDC warned legal action will be taken against those who breach the agreements and use the land in violation of the agreements.
HDC called on all businesses and organisations that have leased land in Thilafushi to comply with the lease agreements and ensure the rights of all stakeholders are protected.
