Male’ City Council to register battery-powered vehicles in Villimale’

Male’ City Council has decided to register all battery-powered vehicles used in Villimale’.

The city council revealed a register is being formed for battery-powered vehicles used in Villimale’, due to the rapid increase of such vehicles in the ward. The city council instructed all users of such vehicles in Villimale’ to register their vehicles at the city council before November 19. The city council also stated all vehicles brought to Villimale’ after this date must be registered prior to use.

Unlike other islands in the country, Villimale’ has environment-friendly streets, with only battery-powered vehicles allowed to be used.
