Air France resumes flights to the Maldives

The flag carrier of France, Air France has resumed operations to the Maldives, commemorating the winter season.

The airline will conduct its operations to the Maldives until March 2022. This is the fourth year Air France will be conducting flights from France to Velana International Airport (VIA), for the winter season.

Air France will operate three weekly flights to VIA and will be utilising its Boeing 787-9 fleet, according to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

France is an important source market for the tourism industry of the Maldives. According to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, about 2% of the total tourist arrivals are from France.
