Nurturing students crucial for nation-building: Vice President

Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated educating and nurturing students play a crucial role in the development of the nation. He made the statement during a meeting held with senior officials of Addu City schools.

Senior officials from the schools who attended the meeting briefed the vice president on the most pressing concerns facing their respective institutions. They highlighted the challenges faced in obtaining good teachers, as well as the lack of space and resources in their schools.

During the meeting, Vice President Naseem stated schools play a crucial role in the development of a nation. He noted nurturing students is an important part of the nation-building efforts.

During the visit to Addu, the vice president also visited the Hithadhoo police station and inquired about the ongoing at the station. The officials at the police station informed the vice president of the difficulties faced in conducting their duties, including a lack of vehicles, infrastructure, and personnel. They also stated that Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed is currently working to remedy the problems.

During his trip to Fuvahmulah City and Addu City, Vice President Naseem had met with the members of the city councils and key stakeholders from both cities. He had also participated in important events as well as toured landmarks and checked on the progress of government development projects in the cities.

The vice president has returned to Male' City after concluding his four-day trip to Fuvahmulah CIty and Addu City.
