Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated the National Centre for the Holy Quran in Fuvahmulah City will become notable in the region. He made the remarks at the graduation ceremony of the National Centre for the Holy Quran in Fuvahmulah City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Naseem said the accolades received by the Centre for Holy Quran in Fuvahmulah are a result of the government's efforts to increase religious awareness in the country. He said Fuvahmulah is already recognised in the country for its emphasis on Quranic studies, especially recitation and memorisation. The previously stalled project to develop a new building for the Holy Quran centre in Fuvahmulah will resume soon with the help of the city council, he also stated.
Speaking further, Vice President Naseem said citizens should work together to build a healthy generation. He underlined the need to utilise individual knowledge and skillsets to address communal concerns and build a better society.
Also at the ceremony, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir gave his assurance to Fuvahmulah and its citizens that the government will further develop the city branch of the National Centre for the Holy Quran. During the ceremony, Vice President Naseem conferred certificates to the students who graduated from the National Centre for the Holy Quran.
