Vice President lays the foundation for new block of classrooms in Fuvahmulah School

Vice President Faisal Naseem has officially laid the foundation to develop a new block of classrooms in Fuvahmulah School to facilitate the school’s single-session implementation.

The foundation for the new block of classrooms in Fuvahmulah School was officially laid during a ceremony held at the school on October 27. Speaking at the ceremony, the vice president said providing better opportunities for students within the schools and a better environment for students and teachers is one of the government's objectives in the education sector.

After the ceremony at Fuvahmulah School, the vice president visited Hafiz Ahmed School and met with heads and senior officials from all schools in the city. Speaking at the meeting, the vice president appealed to educators to prioritise the community's interests and the children's futures while teaching.

Senior officials from four schools in Fuvahmulah City attended the meeting. They shared their concerns and most patient issues in their respective schools with the vice president. At the meeting, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali shared the government's policies regarding the concerns raised by the school heads.

The vice president is currently on a trip to Fuvahmulah and Addu cities, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the government.
