President inaugurates new classroom building and multipurpose hall of Thoddoo School

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the new classroom building and multipurpose hall developed in Thoddoo School, Alifu Alifu Atoll.

The 12-classroom building and the multipurpose hall in Thoddoo School were inaugurated during the president’s visit to Thoddoo as part of his ongoing trip to six islands of Alifu Alifu Atoll. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali.

Speaking at the ceremony, Principal of Thoddoo School Moosa Solih noted the school was initially set to receive only 8 additional classrooms, before President Solih instructed to provide 12 new classrooms along with a new multipurpose hall. He extended his gratitude to the president for this initiative, on behalf of the students, parents and teachers of the school.

Following the ceremony, the president and the education minister toured the school premises and spoke to the school management on issues faced by the school.
