The Government of the Maldives has held discussions on enhancing economic and trade cooperation with the Government of Australia.
The discussions were held during a meeting with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Ahmed Khaleel and Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment of Australia Dan Tehan.
During the meeting, they held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economic and trade cooperation, education, people-to-people contact, as well as the environment and climate change.
tate Minister Khaleel also expressed appreciation for the multiple contributions made by the Australian government that played a key role in the government's efforts to control the COVID-19 outbreak within the country.
They also reassured commitment towards working closely on furthering collaborations on the multilateral front.
