Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula has attended the 12th Transport and Communication Forum held in Istanbul, Turkey.
During the three-day forum, the transport minister participated in the ministerial roundtable discussions. The minister spoke about the efforts undertaken by the Government of the Maldives to upgrade and strengthen the transport system of the country. She also shared information on the projects undertaken by the Maldives as part of efforts to achieve net zero emissions by 2030.
The 12th Transport and Communication Forum is attended by transport ministers of 15 countries. As such, ministers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Northern Cyprus, Palestine, Sudan and Turkey are taking part in the forum.
The theme for this year’s forum is “Logistics-Mobility-Digitalisation”.
