The Government of India has appointed Munu Mahawar as the new High Commissioner of India to the Maldives.
The Ministry of External Affairs of India revealed Munu Mahawar will be taking up his role as the new High Commissioner to the Maldives very soon. He is currently serving as the Ambassador of India to Oman.
The current High Commissioner of India to the Maldives, Sunjay Sudhir, took office in March 2019. Under his tenure, the bilateral relations between India and the Maldives have been strengthened significantly.
