Manta Air has expanded its fleet with an additional seaplane. The latest addition increases its seaplane fleet to a total of eight aircraft.
Manta Air brought its new seaplane, a DHC-6 Twin Otter, to the Maldives from the manufacturer in Canada. The domestic airline revealed the new seaplane can be used in operation next month.
Manta Air commenced seaplane operations almost two years ago in November. Manta Air brought a new seaplane as part of the efforts to prepare for the tourism high season.
According to Manta Air, two new seaplanes will be added to the fleet in November and December. In addition to the seaplanes, Manta Air also operates three ATR 72-600 aircraft for domestic flights.
