The Government of Pakistan has donated items needed for the digitalisation of civil services in the Maldives.
The items were handed over during a ceremony held at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on August 17. The items were formally handed over by High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives Vice Admiral Ather Mukhtar. The items were received by President of CSC Mohamed Nasih.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Pakistani high commissioner highlighted the long-standing bilateral ties between Pakistan and the Maldives, and expressed interest in finding avenues to further strengthen the ties. He expressed hope the items would boost the efforts of CSC to improve its services to the public.
The items donated to CSC by the Government of Pakistan include office equipment needed to strengthen the IT infrastructure of the commission. As such, the donated items include a 75” smart TV, 16 computer systems, 6 monitors and 3 laptops.
