JSC declares disciplinary case against Eydhafushi Magistrate as unproven

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has declared the disciplinary case launched against Magistrate Ummu Kulsoom Aboobakuru of Eydhafushi Magistrate Court cannot be proven.

In a press statement, JSC said it had launched a disciplinary investigation against Magistrate Ummu Kulsoom Aboobakuru following a complaint submitted to the commission. JSC revealed the commission has ended the investigation and declared the case as unproven.

JSC has been investigating several disciplinary cases against magistrates as well as judges of major courts in the judicial system. Following some investigations, JSC has also initiated dismissal motions against some judges accused of corruption and abuse of power.
