Male’ Water and Sewerage Company Limited (MWSC) has commenced physical works of the project to develop the water and sewerage system in Feridhoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The water and sewerage project in Feridhoo was contracted to MWSC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure at a price of over USD 2.2 million. Under the project, a water network spanning 6.76 km will be developed along with 2 RO plants and 1 RO plant facility. MWSC revealed construction of the RO plant facility is now underway.
In addition to the water supply network, MWSC will also be developing a 5.04 km sewerage network, with a 1.07 km pumping line, 3 pumping stations, 1 sea outfall and an administrative building for sewerage. Under the project, sewerage connections will be provided to individual households in Feridhoo.
