Civil Service Commission of the Maldives (CSC) schedules to host a webinar for applicants for the position of secretary-general of the local councils.
The purpose of the webinar is to provide information on the responsibilities of the secretary-general. The webinar will also provide information on legal and human capital management and hold a Q&A session.
CSC has opened the opportunity for applicants to register for the webinar, which is scheduled for June 24, 1400hrs. CSC opened the opportunity for interested parties to apply for the position of secretary-general to the island, city, and atoll councils on June 10.
As such a total of 200 individuals will be hired by the CSC, including 178 for island councils, 18 for atoll councils, and 4 for city councils.
The secretary-general is the highest administrative position in the local council and is responsible for handling the administrative and financial work of the council. Applicants for the position of secretary-general are required to have a bachelor's degree and four years of experience in a related field, or a master's degree and two years of experience in a related field, stated CSC.
Applicants for the atoll councils are required to have a bachelor's degree and six years of experience or a master's degree and four years of experience. CSC will be accepting applications via its online portal until June 28.
