Civil Service Commission of the Maldives (CSC) has warned action will be taken against civil servants that encourage acts of terrorism.

In a circular signed by the President of CSC Mohamed Nasih, the commission stated any civil servant who is found to have encouraged an act of terrorism as specified in the Anti-Terrorism Act will face action in line with the Civil Service Act and relevant regulations. In this regard, the commission said administrative action will be taken against any civil servant who actively promotes terrorist organisations or encourages acts of violence and terrorism through any physical or digital platforms.
