The President’s Office has extended the application deadline for the vacant membership position at the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
The new deadline to submit applications closes on April 15, 2021. The President’s Office made the adjustment to accommodate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s decision to declare Sunday, April 11, 2021, and Monday, April 12, 2021, as government holidays.
The President’s Office said interested parties may submit their applications, along with all the relevant documents, to the President’s Office from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 14 and April 15. Application forms are available from the President’s Office reception as well as the website of the President’s Office.
Four membership positions at HRCM were vacated in July last year with the resignation of three members and dismissal of one member through a no-confidence vote at the parliament. Three of the vacant slots were filled in September, with the appointment of Aminath Shifa’ath Abdul Razzaq, Moomina Waheed and Dr. Ahmed Adham Abdulla.
