President extends condolences to the UAE Vice President over the passing of Deputy Ruler of Dubai

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, following the passing of his brother, Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Minister of Finance of UAE and Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

In his message, President Solih said he was deeply saddened by the passing of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, adding he will be remembered as a wise and accomplished statesman who contributed greatly to Dubai’s success. The President said his loss will be felt throughout the UAE, the Middle Eastern region and the world.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, President Solih extended condolences to the Government and the people of Dubai, and in particular to the family of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE during this time of grief.
