Work permit fees to be accepted without fines until March 10

Ministry of Economic Development has stated work permit fees will be accepted without fines until March 10.

The economic ministry said work permit application process is being carried out through the Expat Online System. Noting some have faced difficulties in paying work permit fees through the system, the ministry said fees will be accepted without any fines until March 10.

As per the new expatriate worker regulations, all expatriate workers are required to obtain a work permit after completing verification through the economic ministry. The verification process is carried out through the Expat Online System.

Expatriates are required to obtain their visa and work permit within 15 days after entering the Maldives.
