President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has nominated 10 individuals to the vacant membership position at Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).
The names nominated by the President for BroadCom were announced at the Parliament on February 8. The names were announced in the priority order as listed by the President.
Mohamed Fazeen topped the list on priority order, followed by Shifza Musthafa and Shifa Thaufeeq. Other names on the list include Ali Mohamed Manik, Ahmed Moosa, Zubair Ahmed Manik, Hassan Rasheed, Aishath Hussain Manik, Mohamed Shamin and Hussain Amru. The names have been sent to the Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions for review.
A membership position at BroadCom was vacated following the resignation of Zeena Zahir on October 28 last year.
