President appoints Mabrook Azeez as Spokesperson at the President’s Office

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Mabrook Azeez as the Spokesperson at the President's Office.

President created the Spokesperson’s position on January 1, 2021 to manage all matters related to media and communications at the President’s Office. Upon the new appointment, all inquiries related to media and communications, previously managed by Ibrahim Hood, should be directed to Mabrook Azeez.

Prior to the appointment, Mabrook had been serving as an Undersecretary at the President’s Office. Last year, he had served as the Spokesperson of the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC), created to manage the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
