Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has commenced the 5th International Conference on Intellectual Advancement (ICIA).
The conference was inaugurated by Minister of Environment Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan. This year’s conference is attended by 12 countries.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Environment Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan highlighted the important role played by IUM in instilling Islamic values and principles in the Maldives. Noting the importance of building research techniques, the minister said no country saw development without research.
Revealing information about the ICIA 2020, Dean of Research and Publications of IUM Dr. Ismail Shafeeu said ICIA is held every year in IUM to improve the quality of research done and the journals published by IUM. He said the two-day conference will be looking into the submission of 25 research papers submitted from 12 countries.
ICIA is an international conference held annually that provides the opportunity to bring together professors, researchers, and higher education students of different disciplines. The conference provides a platform to discuss new issues and to discover the most recent research in all fields, including Education, Social Sciences and Humanities in a Multicultural Atmosphere.
