Auditor General’s Office has stated the expenditure of the President’s Office in 2019 had followed the Public Finance Act and Regulations.
According to the financial audit report of the President’s Office for 2019, the President’s Office’s expenditure had been undertaken in accordance to the objectives set in the State Budget for the year. It also noted the expenditure was undertaken in compliance with the Public Finance Act and Regulations.
The audit report further stated the consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year had been prepared in accordance to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS): Financial Reporting under the Cash Basis of Accounting. Citing the statements on expenditure and income and comparing it with the approved budget and its objectives, the Auditor General’s Office said there were no irregularities in the expenditure undertaken by the President’s Office in 2019.
