Maldives has condemned the terrorist assault on petroleum products distribution station in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 23.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of the Maldives stated this deliberate cowardly act targeting civilian areas and economic infrastructure clearly violates the international laws and threatens the security of Saudi Arabia and the region together with the stability of global energy supplies. The Maldivian government reaffirmed its solidarity with the brotherly people and the Government of Saudi Arabia and reiterated its steadfast commitment to the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid had also posted a tweet condemning the terrorist assault on the petroleum distribution station in Jeddah which targeted civilian areas and economic infrastructure. He noted the Maldives stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterated the steadfast commitment of the Maldives to the fight against terrorism.
