Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with senior officials of the Diabetes Society of the Maldives.
The meeting was held at the President’s Office. At the meeting, representatives of the non-governmental organisation discussed with the Vice President about the difficulties and challenges faced by the organisation. They further deliberated on formulating a guideline governing provision of services to diabetes patients.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice President inquired about the areas the NGO needs assistance and collaboration from government Offices and institutions. He also assured that the government would continue to provide any service necessary to the operation of the NGO.
The Vice President went on to thank the NGO and its staff for their invaluable contributions towards creating awareness about the disease and assisting patients.
