Agriculture loan disbursed for 25 individuals

Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture Zaha Waheed has revealed agriculture loans under the scheme introduced by the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) have been disbursed to 25 individuals.

Speaking at the Parliamentary Committee on Government Oversight, Minister Zaha said so far USD 473,798 has been disbursed to 25 individuals under the agriculture loan scheme. She revealed the loan was introduced to elevate the economy by financing and utilising the farming and agriculture sector.

SDFC is collaborating with the ministry to provide easily accessible financing options to parties involved in the agriculture sector.
