Maldives Police Service (MPS) has advised against conducting any gatherings which violate the orders of Health Protection Agency (HPA).
MPS stated it has received information on plans to conduct gatherings while the country is still in a State of Public Health Emergency. Noting any gathering of more than 3 people is prohibited by HPA, the police requested the public to adhere to the instructions given by HPA for the safety and well-being of all.
The Greater Male’ Region is currently in the second phase of easing lockdown restrictions. During this phase, people are allowed to go out without a police permit between 0500hrs and 1000hrs every day. However, any activity which involves large gatherings of people is not permitted.
